The Coronavirus pandemic has hit us all hard …and business owners are now facing more challenges than they could have ever prepared for.

With some businesses shutting down, others have been pivoting their business plans and adapting in any way they can. Outsourcing Angel has definitely had to do the same.

We’ve used this time to really listen to our customers so that we could help them through their challenges and uncertainty. Here are the changes we’ve made:

1. Updated our business offers

Prior to COVID-19 we’ve always offered long-term Virtual Assistant Services meaning that our customers hired Virtual Assistants on a Full-time or Part-time Basis.

While this is still a great solution for businesses that are cutting staff costs and interested in hiring a Full-time or Part-time Virtual Employee, not all businesses have the ability to do the same. In fact, many affected businesses are new to hiring remote staff and are looking for an easy and flexible solution.

This prompted us to change our traditional business offer. We saw the demand for Project Based Virtual Assistant Services to allow these businesses to outsource specific tasks or ad-hoc jobs for a fixed quote, so we implemented it right away.

2. Packaged our samples

We then grabbed the most highly requested Project Based Tasks and created PDFs including examples of our work.

Not only is this a great resource for our new leads, it’s a great idea generator for existing leads and clients to fill in any outsourcing gaps they hadn’t thought of previously. It also showcases our experience and the quality of work our leads can expect when they outsource with us.

3. Guidance from our Virtual Assistants

Internally, we asked our Virtual Assistants to leverage off their remote work experience to make things less daunting for their clients.
As clients were quickly switching to a fully remote workplace, our VAs were putting in extra hours to get them functioning online and a great example of this is our Client Case Study from Mei Ouw Consulting.

With just 5 days to go, Mei asked her VA Patrick to convert her annual in-person workshop to an online webinar. Not only did Patrick create digital guides and resources to assist the workshop attendees, he set-up the seamless Zoom webinar for Mei with interactive breakout sessions.

We’re lucky to have such a hard working team that is experienced in remote workplaces so that we can implement similar systems and processes to our clients.

4. Partnered with Niche Services

Over the past 2 weeks, we merged with two different businesses to offer two new Niche Services:

  • Video & Audio Editing Services
  • LinkedIn Lead Generation Services

Now that everyone is working from home or switching to a fully remote business, we anticipated the rise in social media video consumption and the need for online lead generation, so we spoke to the experts.

Video Animation & Audio Editing Services

Our Video Animation experts from Monkey Video Production (MVP) previously offered full animation videos only, by partnering with Outsourcing Angel, together we packaged smaller Video & Editing Tasks into a new Niche Service to offer to both of our client bases.

Video & Audio Editing Services include:

  • Video Editing
  • Podcast Editing
  • Adding Animation Effects
  • Graphic Design for videos

LinkedIn Lead Generation Services

Our partnership with Paul Higgins (CEO of Build Live Give) was set to launch later this month. However, businesses now had an immediate need for LinkedIn Leads, forcing us to rearrange our marketing plans.

With Paul’s LinkedIn Coaching combined with our dedicated LinkedIn Virtual Assistants, we’re able to collectively help small to medium businesses build, maintain and execute effective LinkedIn Lead Generation strategies.
