How to effectively delegate
Don’t be afraid to let go of control, be transparent with what everyone is doing, understand which role they excel at, and let leadership roles step up. When the leader rises to what they should be doing they lift up the team with them, so suddenly what everyone is doing is more important, more focused on what they should be doing and increase team productivity. Also, have a balance between looking into what your team is doing and looking up out of the organisation and beyond your business unit.
Have a positive mindset with delegation
Delegation is an opportunity to empower someone else, teach someone else, bring them up and grow with you. Delegation is the tip of the iceberg of leadership, one’s mindset must be different from a previous role, and allow yourself to let go of control, let go of the detail and trust your team. Be patient with explanation and understanding with the speed or pace when newly delegating tasks, as these are usually the biggest obstacles into having a delegating mindset.
