Outsourcing Angel’s Modern Slavery Statement

About Outsourcing Angel

Outsourcing Angel is a leading virtual assistant provider, committed to ethical business practices, the promotion of human rights, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations, including the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018. We connect clients globally with remote workers, primarily from the Philippines, helping them achieve work-life balance and contributing to economic growth in their communities.

Commitment to Combating Modern Slavery

Outsourcing Angel is dedicated to combating modern slavery in all forms, including forced labour and debt bondage. We recognise that modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. We are committed to implementing systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place within our business and processes.

Our Operations and Practices

At Outsourcing Angel, our operations involve the recruitment, training, and management of virtual assistants who work remotely from the Philippines. Our recruitment process is managed directly by our Filipino team, who recruit virtual assistants within the Philippines and place them with overseas clients, ensuring ethical employment practices.

We are dedicated to a comprehensive and proactive approach to modern slavery, aligned with the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018. Our strategy includes several key components:

Ethical Employment Practices: At Outsourcing Angel, we commit to the highest ethical standards in employing virtual assistants from the Philippines. We comply fully with local labour laws and regulations, ensuring that salaries are:

  • competitive
  • consistently on time
  • and reflect the ethical considerations mandated by the Act.

Benefits and Well-being: We provide a robust package of benefits for our virtual assistants and employees, including:

  • healthcare coverage
  • ample leave opportunities
  • sponsoring in-person catch-ups for all our virtual assistants and employees
  • organising volunteer opportunities
  • maintaining a virtual rewards point system
  • and mentorship opportunities

to promote their overall well-being, consistent with the Act’s guidelines.

Flexibility and Work-Life Harmony: We emphasise the importance of flexibility and work-life harmony by offering a remote working option that helps facilitate harmony between personal life and work to prevent oppressive working environments as emphasised by the Act.

Processes and Awareness: Our processes are designed to elevate our employees‘ understanding of their rights and to empower them to spot and address potential issues of modern slavery, fulfilling the requirements of the Act.

Identifying and Addressing Risk

We conduct due diligence on all new partners and channels to ensure alignment with our ethical standards, including human rights. We maintain stringent expectations and closely monitor our operations to proactively identify and address any potential risks related to modern slavery.

Effectiveness and Performance Indicators

We will assess the effectiveness of the steps we have taken to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place in our business or supply chains. This will be done through internal audits, feedback from employees and suppliers, and periodic reviews of our policies.
